Toyota Sienna Service Manual: How to proceed with troubleshooting
HINT:
- Troubleshooting of the wireless door lock control system is
based on the premise that the power door lock system, the
power slide door system, the power back door system and
the power window system are operating normally.
Therefore, before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system, first make certain that these systems are operating normally.
- Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures on the following pages.
1 VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
2 CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS
- Interview the customer to confirm the trouble
3 DTC CHECK
- Check for DTC and note any codes that are output.
- Delete the DTC.
- Recheck for DTC. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
- If the DTC does not reoccur, proceed to A.
- If the DTC reoccur, proceed to B.
4 PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- When problem is not listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- When problem is listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
5 PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING ACCORDING TO MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
- Terminals of ECU
- Operation check
6 ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
