Toyota Sienna Service Manual: On-vehicle inspection

1. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  1.  Perform a diagnostic system check.
  2. With the curtain shield airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the front pillar garnish RR window side garnish assembly No. 2 or roof headlining assembly with a new one: Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front pillar garnish RR window side garnish assembly No. 2 or roof headlining assembly around the curtain shield airbag assembly.

2. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

  1.  Perform a diagnostic system check.
  2. With the curtain shield airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the curtain shield airbag assembly with a new one:
