1. Inspect air cleaner cap sub-assembly
(A) check that air flows from port b to port a.
(B) apply 60 kpa (450 mm hg, 18 in. Hg) of vacuum to port b. Check that there is no change of vacuum after one minute.
Precaution for cooling fan system
NOTICE: • When the ignition switch is turned off and the
engine temperature is high, the cooling fans may
operate for approximately 3 minutes. • After turning the ignition switch
off, keep hands
and objects away from the fans when they are operating.

Installation
1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the starter with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 N*m (380 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf) for bolt
(b) Connect the starter connector.
(c) Install the terminal nut and cover the nut with the
cap.
Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) for nut
