ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. INSPECT REAR A/C EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Remove the rear evaporator temperature sensor.
(b) Disconnect the connector from the rear evaporator temperature sensor.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance 

NOTICE:
HINT: As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases (see the graph).
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the rear evaporator temperature sensor.

DESCRIPTION
The system detects the ignition switch's starting signal (STSW) and then
supplies current to the starter
until the ECM judges that the engine has started successfully. The purpose is to
reduce the holding time
of the ignition key.
